Once you have created a new zone on th e
local VCS you must configure it ap propriately.
For traversal server zone s, traversal client
zones and neighbor zones this will in clude
providing information abou t the neighbor
system such as IP address and por ts.
Zones are configured via the Edi t Zone page.
You will be taken to this page automaticall y
upon creation of a new zone. To access this
page for an existing zone:
VCS Configuration > Zones.
You will be taken to the Zones page.
Click on the name of the zone you wish to
configure.
You will be taken to the Edit Zone page.

Adding Zones
Name
Enter the name you wish to give to this zon e.
The name acts as a unique identif ier, allowing
you to distinguish between zones of t he same
type.
Type
From the Type drop-down m enu, select the
type of zone you wish to add.
Once the zone has been created, t he Type
cannot be changed.
Create Zone
Click here to create the zone. You will be
taken directly to the Edit Zone pa ge.
In order to neighbor with anoth er system
(e.g. VCS, gatekeeper or Border Contr oller) or
create an ENUM or DNS zone, you must add
a new zone on the local VCS. When add ing a
new zone you will be asked to specif y its Type;
this will determine which confi guration options
will then be available.
To create a new zone:
VCS Configuration > Zones.
You will be taken to the Zones page.
Click New.
You will be taken to the Create Zone page.
