6.10.2 Regenerative power ride-through control/slowdown stop control

: Regenerative power ride-through control

• Function

Regenerative power ride-through control :

Function of letting the motor continue to run using its regenerative energy in the event of a momentary power failure. (Enabled if H is set to 1 (enabled))

Slowdown stop control:

Function of quickly stopping the motor in case a momentary power failure occurs during operation. Motor regenerative energy is used to forcibly bring the motor to a stop. (Enabled if H is set to 2 (slowdown stop))

If the motor is stopped forcibly, it remains at a standstill until the operation command is cancelled temporarily or the power is turned off.

Note: Even if this parameter is set to 1 (enabled), the motor may coast to a stop under some load conditions. In that case, use this function along with the auto-restart function.

★The time for which the operation of the motor is continued depends

on the machine’s inertia or load conditions. Before using this

function, therefore, perform a test to determine the inertial and load conditions.

★The use of the retry function along with this function allows the

motor to be restarted automatically without being brought to a stop.

6.10.3 Retry function

: Retry selection (Selecting the number of times)

Caution

•Stand clear of motors and machines when the retry function is activated.

When the retry function is enabled, the motor and machine in alarm-stop status will restart suddenly after the specified time, and could cause injury.

Mandatory	• To prevent accidents, attach words of warning saying that the retry function is enabled to the
	inverter, motor and machine.
•	Function
	This parameter resets the inverter automatically when the inverter gives an alarm. During the
	retry process, the motor search faction is activated automatically, if necessary for restarting the
	motor smoothly.
