MONITORING SYSTEM HARDWARE STATUS
You monitor system status information, such as fuse and power alarms, and whether a critical,
major or minor alarm condition exists. From the ::root=> prompt, type the following
command then press .
display hardware system
A screen similar to the following displays.
The following table describes the system status information that displays when you type the
display hardware system command.
Information Description
Power Chassis power supply status. Options:
UnknownUnknown power supply status.
FailureOne or both power supplies has failed.
OKBoth power supplies are operational.
Fan Chassis fan status. Options:
UnknownUnknown fan status or no fans exist.
FailureOne of the fans has failed.
OKAll fans are operational.
HightempThe chassis temperature is higher than the range
required for operation.
CRT Chassis critical alarm LED status. Indicates whether a critical alarm
condition exists. Displays either OFF or ON.
MAJ Chassis major alarm LED status. Indicates whether a major alarm
condition exists. Displays either OFF or ON.
