Procedure
1. Connect the equipment as shown in Figure 4-6.
2. Preset the synthesized sweeper. Set the synthesized sweeper controls as fol l ows:
CW, 50, MHz
Power Lev el, 0, dBm (50 Ω Input)
Power Lev el, 4, dBm (75 Ω Input)
3. Press System, Power On/Preset, Preset Type (Factory), Preset on the analyzer, then wait
for the preset routine to finish. Press System, Alignments, Auto Align, Off. Set the
analyzer by pressing the following keys:
FREQUENCY, Center Freq, 50, MHz
SPAN, 45, kHz
AMPLITUDE, Attenuation, 10, dB
BW/Avg, Res BW, 3, kHz
Video BW, 1, kHz
Peak Search
4. Adjust the amplitude on the synthesized sweeper until the marker amplitude on the
analyzer reads 0 dBm +/– 0.10 dB. Record the synthesized sweeper output level as the
reference in Table 4-7 on page156.
NOTE 75 Ω Input only. Adjust the synthesized sweeper amplitude until the
analyzer’s marker reads 48.8 dBmV +/– 0.10 dB.
5. On the analyzer, press the following keys:
