Cabling
Overview
To protect the investment in existing systems and cabling, provisions have been made to use the existing system cables and connectors with the IPC-1600. The existing cabling is used along with the appropriate IPC-1600 modular cables and adapters (previously described) to connect an IPC-1600 to the existing cabling sytem. This section provides specific information for connecting the IPC-1600 serial ports to the following environments:
■Intelligent Ports Card Model 802 (IPC-802) Interface
■3B2 Computer PORTS/EPORTS Interface.
