Introduction
This chapter defines the IPC-1600 device node names used in the UNIX system. This chapter also describes how to manage the serial I/O ports using either the hipcutils(1) command or the AT&T Framed Access Command Environment (FACE), which is optionally available with the UNIX System V/386 Release 3.2 and later. (If you are using the UNIX System V/386 Release 3.2 or later but do not have FACE, refer to the UNIX System V/386 Operations/System Administration Guide.)
