Dataﬁll sequence and implications

The following tables must be dataﬁlled before table IPHOST:

•IPNETWRK

•Inventory tables for nodes that are dataﬁlled in ﬁeld nodename in table

IPHOST

Before entering data into table IPROUTER, Nortel Networks recommends placing the corresponding EIUs referred to in the dataﬁll in the OFFL state..

Note: In the assignment of IP addresses, the LAN side and the workstation need to be on different subnets from the DMS peripheral module (PM).

Dataﬁll

Table 14 lists the ﬁelds and value ranges used to dataﬁll an EIU in table

IPHOST.
