This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class A digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation of this equipment in a residential area is likely to cause harmful interference in which case the user will be required to correct the interference at his own expense.

Do not make any changes or modifications to the equipment unless otherwise specified in the manual. If such changes or modifications should be made, you could be required to stop operation of the equipment.

PRE-INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS FOR CANON FACSIMILE EQUIPMENT

A.Location

Supply an suitable table, cabinet, or desk. See the Appendix of the Reference Guide for the unit's dimensions and weight.

B.Order Information

1.Only a single telephone line (touch-tone or rotary) is to be used.

2.Order an RJ11-C telephone wall jack (USOC), which should be installed by the phone company. If the RJ11-C wall jack is not present, telephone/facsimile operation is not possible.

3.Order a normal business line from your telephone company's business representative. The line should be a regular voice grade line or the equivalent. Use one line per unit.
