Hewlett-Packard Company is committed to providing quality products in an environmentally sound manner. This product has been designed with several attributes to minimize impacts on our environment.

Ozone production

This product generates no appreciable ozone gas (O3).

Energy consumption

Energy usage drops significantly while in PowerSave mode, which saves natural resources and saves money without affecting the high performance of this product. This product qualifies for ENERGY STAR® , which is a voluntary program to encourage the development of energy-efficient office products.

Toner consumption

EconoMode/Toner Miser uses significantly less toner, which might extend the life of the print cartridge.

Paper use

This product’s manual duplex feature (two-sided printing, see Printing on both sides of the media (manual duplexing)), and printing multiple pages on one page can reduce paper usage and the resulting demands on natural resources.

Plastics

Plastic parts over 25 grams are marked according to international standards that enhance the ability to identify plastics for recycling purposes at the end of the product’s life.

HP LaserJet printing supplies

In many countries/regions, this product’s printing supplies (e.g., print cartridge, drum, fuser) can be returned to HP through the HP Printing Supplies Returns and Recycling Program. An easy to use and free takeback program is available in over 48 countries. Multi-lingual program information and instructions are included in every new HP LaserJet print cartridge and consumables package.
