Redistributing Toner in the Cartridge

When the TONER LOW message appears, you can extend the life of your toner cartridge and temporarily re-establish print quality by redistributing the toner.

1Open the mopier’s top cover.

2Remove the toner cartridge.

W A R N I N G

Avoid touching the adjacent fusing area in the print engine. It may be HOT.

3Rotate the toner cartridge back and forth five or six times to redistribute toner.

4Reinsert the toner cartridge and close the top cover.

The TONER LOW message may continue to appear, but the print quality should improve. If the print remains light, replace the toner cartridge using the instructions in the Installation Instruction Guide inside the toner cartridge box.
