Entera password and reenter the password.
Specifythe time zone.
Synchronizethe date and time settings of the switch with the management PC or
setthem manually by selecting the appropriate option button. This is optional.
ClickNext.
7. Usethe Management Options page to select the managementscenario:
NOTE: OnEX4500 and EX8200 switches, only the out-of-band
managementoption is available.
In-bandManagement—Use VLAN 'default' for management.
Selectthis option to configure all data interfacesas members of the default VLAN.
ClickNext. Specify the management IP address and the default gatewayfor the
defaultVLAN.
In-bandManagement—Create new VLAN for management.
Selectthis option to create a management VLAN. Click Next. Specifythe VLAN
name,VLAN ID, member interfaces, management IP address, and defaultgateway
forthe new VLAN.
Out-of-bandManagement—Configure management port.
Selectthis option to configure only the management interface.Click Next. Specify
theIP address and default gateway forthe management interface.
8. ClickNext.
9. Onthe Manage Accesspage, you may selectoptions to enable Telnet,SSH, and SNMP
services.For SNMP, you can configure the readcommunity, location, and contact.
10. ClickNext. The Summary screen displays the configured settings.
11. ClickFinish.
Theconfiguration is committed as the active switchconfiguration. You can nowlog in
withthe CLI or the J-Web interface to continue configuring the switch.
Ifyou use the J-Web interface to continue configuringthe switch, the Web session is
redirectedto the new management IP address. If the connection cannotbe made, the
J-Webinterface displays instructions forstarting a J-Web session.
NOTE: Afterthe configuration is committed,the connectivity between the
PCand the switch might be lost. Torenew the connection, releaseand renew
theIP address by executing the appropriatecommands on the management
PCor by removing and reinserting the Ethernet cable.
