5.3 Adjustments
Alladjustments are set at the factory or during start-up and normally do not have to befield readjusted.
InputCurrent Limit: Normal, 115%; on generator (with optionalcircuit), 100%.
BatteryCharge Current Limit: Normal, 10%; on generator (with optional circuit),1%.
BatteryEqualize Charge: Set at start-up dependent on battery characteristics.
DCOver-Voltage: 600 volts formodels with nominal 240 cell battery (High Link).
OverloadAlarm: 104% normal load.
OutputFrequency Tolerance: ±0.5 Hz.
OutputVoltage: Nominal—operatoradjustable ±5%.
LineDrop Compensation: 0 to +5%—Set at start-up to match load characteristics. If significant additional
loadsare connected, call LiebertGlobal Services.
5.4 Battery Operation
Theseparate battery manufacturer’s manual providest he necessaryinformation for the installation, operation,
andmaintenance of the battery. Use the battery manual in conjunctionwith this manual.
Thefloat charge voltage for a battery is equal tothe number of cells in series making up the battery multipliedby
thecharge voltage for each cell.
Sincethe charging voltage level is critical to proper battery operation, refer to your battery manual for informa-
tionregarding your system.
For150-750 kVA models with nominal 240 cell battery, the DC bus nominal voltage range is 527 to 576 VDC.
For65-125 kVA models (with 240 cell batteryonly), the DC bus nominal voltage range is 534-574 VDC. Maxi-
mumequalize voltage is 585 VDC. Battery voltage at end of dischargeis 386 VDC at the UPS terminals (389
VDCa t thebattery). The number of battery cells required will range from 236 to 244, dependingon theUPS
modeland your application.
