System Status
TheSystem Status screen displays the module TotalOperating Hours and the Battery Cycle Monitor.
BatteryCycle Monitor (Module Only)
Selectingthe Battery Cycle Monitor gives you access to detailedinformation about the module’s most recent
batterydischarge events. Periodic review of thisdata can give a good indication of battery performance and
expectedlife.
Eachbattery discharge cycle is put into one of four categories, depending on the length of the event:
0-30Seconds Discharge
31-90Seconds Discharge
91-240Seconds Discharge
Over240 Seconds Discharge
Eachdischarge cycle is sorted by time duration and tagged with thefollowing system parameters:
Systemtime and date
Event Number
Durationof cycle (seconds)
LowestDC Bus Voltage
HighestDC Bus Current
kWc arriedby the batteries at the start of cycle
BatteryEnvironment Ambient Temperature (when equippedwith optional temperature sensor)
Upto 132 discharge cycle events can be stored at any given time. When the buffer approachesits capacity, a
warningmessage is broadcast via terminal andmodem communication channels and a complete listingof all
records(in order of occurrence) is sent to the terminal port. If a serial printeris attached to the terminal port, the
operatorcan print a hard copy of the report. If a printer is not available, a terminalemulation program can cap-
turethe report to disk for later review or printing. Once thebuffer is filled, new data will replace the old on a
FirstIn, First Out basis as new cycles occur.
Toview this data, select the BATTERYCYCLE MONITOR option on the System Statusscreen. At the next
screen (see Figure 26), you can select either the BatteryCycle Monitoring Summary screen or a screen showing
detailedinformation on any one of the four categories of discharge (0-30 seconds,31-90 seconds, 91-240 sec-
ondsand Over 240 seconds).
