Start-up,UPS maintenance, battery maintenance,and training programs are available for the Series 600T UPS
throughyour Liebert sales representative.

Professional Start-Up

UPSStart-Up - Liebert’s Customer Engineersperform a thorough non-powered inspection ofthe units, and will
thenconduct a complete electrical checkout which includes calibratingall components to published specifica-
tions.The battery installation is also inspected andplaced on an initialization charge to ensure cell equalization.
CustomerOperation training will be conducted during batterycharge time.
LoadBank Testing and Full Site Acceptance Testingare additional services that can beperformed during a UPS
Start-Up.One Preventive MaintenanceService Call can be addedto the initial UPS Start-Up Agreement.
BatteryInstallation/Start-Up - When purchased with a UPS Start-Up,this Agreement provides consistent, pro-
fessionalservice for your entire UPS system. This one-sourceapproach avoids conflicts that may occur during a
multisourceinstallation. Note that Liebertrequires a mandatory installation inspectionfor all batteries not
installedby Liebert Customer Engineers.
BatteryIEEE Certification Inspection- The Battery Specialist will performa detailed inspection of the entire
batterysystem to ensure it meets current IEEE standards.

Maintenance Agreements:The S ignatureProgram

UPSService Agreements - Liebert Global Services (LGS) has a variety of available maintenance agreements,
dependingon specific site needs. Choose the level ofsupport appropriate for each installation. Mission-critical
sitescan have the standard parts-and-labor, around-the-clockcoverage for their UPS, with or without scheduled
preventivemaintenance visits. Other sitescan benefit from a variety of money-saving options.
Asa rule of thumb, Liebert recommends two preventivemaintenance visits per year for theUPS. The first can be
conductedwith the UPS operational, and includesan infra-red scan of key UPS components.The annual visit
willrequire taking the UPS off-line for a thorough nonpoweredinspection. These visits are in addition to the
generalhousekeeping tasks (changing air filters, etc.) thatc anbe pe rformedby customer personnel.
Battery Service Agreements - The same flexible Signature Program can also be appliedto contracts for battery
maintenance.Again, the coverage needed will depend on the type of battery purchasedand the degree of support
requiredfrom Liebert Global Services.

Training

Customertraining courses include the proper operationof the system, emergency procedures, preventive mainte-
nance,and some correctivemaintenance.
