b3. Findthe Close Bypass switch (SW1) on the System Interface Board (Fig ure 11). Press this switch
toreset the System Bypass circuit breaker.Check the Monitor/Mimic screen to verify the breakeris
closed.
b4. Presstwo Reset Switches for Static Switch Disconnects behind door below SCC control panel
(see Figure 9).
b5. Setthe Static Switch Disconnects to ON (cl osed).
c. Ifthe UPS Bypass line is available, but not yet supplying powerto the load, close the circuit breakers
(externalto the UPS) required to provide power to the critical load equipment.Follow the three steps
shownbelow.
c1. Verifythe Bypass Input Breaker (BIB) and System Bypass circuit breakersare closed.
c2. Closethe Maintenance IsolationBreaker (MIB).
c3. Open the MaintenanceBypass Breaker (MBB).
Observethe Monitor/Mimic Display screen to confirm that the UPS Bypassline is energized and supplying
powerto the critical load equipment.
Atthe System Control Cabinet (SCC), press the Select pad to put the Master Menu on the LCD display. Move
the highlighted curs or to Start-Up Procedures ( use the Up and Down pads). Press the Select pad to display the
Start-UpProcedures screen. Return to this screen whenever you need to see the start-up instructions.
Onthe LCD display, select System Configuration from the Master Menu. Verifythat all of the information con-
tainedin the System Configuration screen is correct. When the data is correct,press the Select pad until the dis-
playreturns to the Master Menu.
Performa module start-up procedure at each module in your UPS systemuntil all required modules are on-line.
Thenreturn to the SCC to complete your UPS system start-up.
Usethe Monitor/Mimic Display screen at the SCC to determine the conditionof the UPS system. Press the
AlarmReset pad t o clear the Alarm Messages. R efer to Tabl e 1 for an explanationof any remaining alarm mes-
sages(except Load On Bypass). Call Liebert Global Services if you cannot clearthe remaining alarm messages.
Ifthe only alarm message displayed is Load On Bypass, the UPS system is now ready to provide filtered,unin-
terruptible power to the critical load equipm ent. Refer to 3.3.2 - Load TransferProcedures to retrans fer the
loadfrom the bypass line to the UPS system.

START-UPPROCEDURES
1. W ait approximately two (2) minutes before attempting any other action .
2. Select "SYSTEM CONFIGURATION"screen to verify that the correct model number is
displayed.
3. Go to the modules(s) and foll ow the module "STARTUP PROCEDURES".
4. Select "MONITOR/MIMIC" screen, verifythat the output voltages are at the
propernominal level and correct number of modules onl ine is displayed.
5. If the bypass or static switc h breakers are open, referto Start-up Procedures
inthe UPS manual for instructions onclosing these breakers.
6. System i s now ready to assume load. Select "LOAD TRANSFER PROCEDURES"
screenfor this procedure.
