1 DisplayScreen
(SCCand modules)
Thisscreen displays all vital UPSinformation in one convenient location.All of the UPS
monitoringfunctions and conditions are indicated here.
2 Up
(SCCand modules)
Thistouch-sensitive pad (button) is used to move the cursor up throughvarious
selectionspresent on the display screen. Note that all pads on this controlpanel have
touch-sensitiveswitches behind them.
3 Down
(SCCand modules)
Similarto the Up pad, this pad is used to move the cursor down through the various
selectionspresent on the display screen.
4 Select
(SCCand modules)
Afterchoosing the desired item (with highlighted cursor) fromt he displayscreen with
theUp and Down pads, pushing this pad tells the microprocessor to go to the
highlightedselection.
5 AlarmReset
(SCCand modules)
Thispad is used to clear all of the alarm conditions that are no longer present.
However,all active alarms remain in memory and on the applicable screens untilthey
arecorrected. This pad also resets the HistoryStatus Report memory buffer when held
untilthe screen clears.
6 VoltageAdjust
(SCConly)
Thispush-to-turn knob permits adjustmentof the UPS output voltage to meet load
requirementsor to match the bypass voltage before transferringt he loadto or from
bypass.
7 UPS
(SCConly)
Thispad activates the circuits that connect the UPS to the critical load (a retransfer).
Whenthis pad is pushed (along with Control Enable), the UPS output circuit breaker
closesand the bypass circuit breaker opens.
8 Bypass
(SCConly)
Thispad activates the circuits that connect the bypass line tothe critical load (a
transfer).When this button is pushed (along with Control Enable),t he bypasscircuit
breakercloses and the UPS output circuit breaker opens.
9 ControlEnable
(SCCand modules)
Thispad must be pressed simultaneously withthe UPS, Bypass, Battery Trip, or Output
Trippads to activate them.
10 HornOff
(SCConly)
Thispad is used to silence the alarm horn after it is activated. When this switchis
pressed,the alarm horn is silenced but the active and latched alarm messages remain
onthe screen. The alarm messages still displayed stop flashingto indicate they have
beenacknowledged.
11 AlarmHorn and
RedLED (SCC only)
Thiselectronic horn sounds to alert nearby personnelwhenever a new alarm occurs. A
redLED (light emitting diode) is located in the middle of the alarm horn.
12 EmergencyModule
Off (SCC only)
Duringan emergency, pressing this guarded switch will transfer the load to bypass and
thenshut down the UPS modules. The load will remain on bypass power. (Refer to
3.3.3- Shutdown Procedures.)
13 BatteryTrip
(modulesonly)
Thispad can be used (along with Control Enable) to trip the modulebattery disconnect
(MBD)circuit breaker open (disconnecting the battery from the UPS module).
14 OutputTrip
(modulesonly)
Thispad can be used (along with Control Enable) to trip the module output circuit
breakeropen (disconnecting the module from the UPS system).
