30 Operation
3. STATUSREPORTS.
Thisdisplay consists of three sub-menu selections: present status, history status, and event history. These
screensdisplay data on the system’s presentand past performance. They also display informationa boutany
faultsthat have occurred in the system and total operating hoursfor the controls.
4. SYSTEMCO NFIGURATION.
Thisscreen displays the current configuration of the UPS system. It also enablesthe operator to reset the
date, time, and dial-out phone numbers. The SCC current rating can also be adjusted lower than design max-
imum. The operator can view, but cannot change, any of the settingsunless the Interlock (Security Access)
buttonis pressed.
5. LIMITSETTINGS.
Thissecurity access display shows the present UPS system alarm limitsettings. The operator can view the
settings, but they should not be changed without consultingLiebert Global Services.
6. LOADTRANS FER PROCEDURES (SCC only).
Thisscreen specifies all of the steps requiredto manually transfer the critical load betweenthe UPS system
andthe bypass source. Comparisons of the voltage frequency, and phase synchronization of the UPS system
outputand the bypass line are also illustrated to aid in the transfer or retransferprocedure.
7. START-UPPROCEDURES.
Thistwo-page screen lists step-by-step procedures to start the UPS systema nd themodules.
8. SHUTDOWN PROCEDURES.
Thistwo-page screen lists the proper sequence of steps to shutdownthe UPS system and the modules for
maintenanceor repairs. The steps instruct theoperator to transfer the critical load to bypass, open the battery
circuitbreakers, and open the UPS module output and input circuit breakers to shut down and isolate the
modules. The critical load will remain on bypass power unless circuit breakers outside the UPS system are
alsoopened.
9. BATTERYTIME (modules only).
Thisgraph displays the projected battery voltage drop caused by a battery dischargeover time. During a
periodof battery discharge, the Series 600T calculatesthe battery time remaining based on battery rating,
initialbattery condition, and actual connected load. The UPS continues to update and display both rated
(theoretical)and calculated time every 6 seconds. This enables the operator to immediately see the effectsof
loadshedding on time remaining and to accurately assess his power resources.
10. METERCALIBRATION.
Thissecurity access screen enablesan authorized Liebert field-serviceengineer to adjustand calibrate the
UPSmetered functions. The operator can view, butshould not change, any of the settings
11. BATTERYEQUALIZE.
Thebattery equalize screen lets the operator change theba tteryequalize recharging mode from manual to
automaticand to observe or change the equalize time. Battery equalize chargevoltage is higher than battery
float(constant) charge voltage.
12. CUSTOMER ALARM DEFINITIONS (SCC only).
Thisoptional screen allows the operator to define alarms for conditions external to the UPS, battery,or
switchgear.
NOTE
Donot use battery equalize charging with sealed-cellbatteries. Refer to the battery
manufacturer’smanual for specificinformation about equalize charging.
