Figure 60 Module Start-Up Procedures Screen
Selectthe Walk- In screen on the LCD display.
Step 3. To energizethe UPS module, manually close the input circuit breaker(CB1, F igure 8). This will provide
powerto the rectifier. Use the Walk-Inscreen to monitor the Module DC Bus voltage.
TheInput Amps bars should settle at about 10% after the momentary inrush currenthas subsided.
Verifythat the DC Voltagebar begins to gradually move to the right.
Verifythat the Output Voltagebar moves to the right after theDC Voltagebar has reached the 90% level. Both
barsshould settle near the 100% line.
Selectthe Monitor/Mimic display from the MasterMenu and confirm that the module DC bus and AC output
areat their proper operating voltages.
Step 4. When the Module DC Bus voltage is at 100%, you canmanually close the module battery disconnect
(MBD)circuit breaker (external to the UPS).

START-UPPROCEDURES
1. Verifythat the control power is applied to the system controlcabinet(check the display
onthe system control cabinet).
2. Waitapproximately two (2) mi nutes before attempting any other action .
3. Select"SYSTEM CONFIGURATION"screen to verify that the correct model is
displayed.
4. Select"WA LK-IN"screen and do the foll owing:
a) Closemoduleinput circuit breaker. Verify that the DC voltage bar on
thedisplay begins to gradually move to the right and the AC input
currentbars do not move to the right more than 10% (40% for modules
withinput filters) after the transformer inrush has s ubsided.

b) Verifythat the output voltage bar moves to the right afterthe DC
busbar has reached the 90% point. Both bars should settle near
theirrespective 100% levels.
c) Ifanything happens on the display not mentioned in (a) or (b),
immediatelyopen the m odule input circuit breaker and investigate.
5. Ifstep 4 is successful, sel ect "MONITOR/MIMIC"screen and verify module
DCbus and output voltages are at proper nominal level. If so, close
modulebattery circuit breaker.
6. Ifno alarms are present on the "MONITOR/MIMIC"screen, the module m ay be
placedonline by closing the m odule output breaker.
