3.0 OPERATION

3.1 Display Screen and Operator Controls

EachLiebert Series 600T UPS cabinet is equippedwith a microprocessor-based Operator ControlPanel and Dis-
playScreen and System Control Panel designed for convenient and reliable operation.The System Control Cab-
inet(SCC) performs different functions than the UPS modules. Each cabinet has thecontrols and displays
requiredto operate and monitor its functions. The locations of operatorcontrols are shown in Figu re 8 through
Figure 11.
Thefront location of the control panel enables the user to quicklyidentify the current status of the UPS system
andto perform most of the manual operations. The operator display screen is driven by ane asy-to-followmenu-
promptedsoftware program.

TheSeries 600T interface display system enables the operatorto easily perform the following:
Obtaina quick indication of operational status:
Isthe critical bus OK?
Isthe UPSsystemO K?
WhichUPS modules are available?
Isthe battery available?
Isthe bypass line available?
Monitorthe power flow through the UPS system and monitor all meter readings:
Isthe critical load being supplied power from the UPS system or bypass?
Areinput, battery, and output voltage, frequency,and current readings at nominal levels?
Howmuch battery time is still available during an outage?
Isthe battery rechargingafter discharge?
Executeoperational procedures:
Performcritical bus transfer/retransfer between the UPS systemand the bypass line.
Start-upand shut down the UPS system and each module.
Shutdownthe system and all modules instantly in the event of an emergency.
Accessstatus reports and history files:
Obtaina complete listing of the present status of the UPS systemand all modules (input, output, and
batteryvoltage, frequency, and current readings,and any alarms that may be present).
Reviewa complete history report of all events leading up to and immediatelyafter a fault condition.
Examinean archive listing of all alarm conditions that haveoccurred over a period of time.
Makeadjustments to programmable parameters (access limited by Security Access function):
Setthe date and the time functions.
Changethe auto-dial phone number and the modem options.
Selectthe number of auto-retransfer attempts.
Makeadjustment to the UPS output voltage before performing a manual load transfer.
