5Lift the air duct from the server platform and store it in a safe location.

To replace the processor air duct

1Place the processor air duct over the processor socket and four-fan assembly. Make sure you do not pinch any wires beneath the edges of the air duct. Refer to “Processor air duct” on page 111.

2Tighten the screws at the top of the air duct. The top of the installed air duct must be flush with the top surface of the PCI adapter assembly.

3Replace the chassis cover. Refer to “Removing and replacing the server cover” on page 108.

4Take the ESD strap off.
