Basic hardware check

This section describes some basic checks that you can do when you start up the server.

To run the startup test

1Ensure system is powered down and AC cords are disconnected. Wait five seconds before turning on the power again.

2Apply AC power to the server by plugging in the first AC cord and then the second AC cord. Observe the front panel display.

Result: All the LEDs on the front panel illuminate for a fraction of a second.
