Copying and Modifying the Nortel Login Page

To copy and modify the Nortel Web login page:

•Configure an unencrypted SSID on an WSS switch. The SSID is temporary does not need to be one you intend to use in your network. To configure the SSID, use the following commands:

set service-profile name ssid-name ssid-namessid-type clear set radio-profile name service-profile name

set {ap port-listdap dap-num}radio {1 2} radio-profile name mode enable

Use the first two commands to configure a temporary SSID and temporary radio profile. Use the last command to map the temporary radio profile with the disabled radio, and enable the radio.

Note. If the radio you plan to use is already in service, first you will need to disable the radio profile the radio is in and remove the radio from the profile.

•From your PC, attempt to directly access the temporary SSID. The WSS switch should serve the login page.

•Use your browser to save a copy of the page.

•Use a Web page editor or text editor to modify the page title, greeting, logo, and warning text.

•Save the modified page.

Custom Login Page Scenario

1Do the following on the WSS switch:

a Create a temporary service profile and radio profile:

23x0# set radio-profile temprad service-profile tempsrvc success: change accepted.

b Configure an unencrypted SSID on the service profile:

23x0# set service-profile ssid tempssid ssid-type clear success: change accepted.

c Map a radio to the temporary radio profile and enable it:

23x0# set ap 2 radio 1 radio-profile temprad mode enable success: change accepted.

2From your PC, attempt to directly access the temporary SSID. The WSS switch serves the login page.

3In the browser, select File > Save As to save the login page.

4Edit the login page:

a Change the page title:
