Some common problems that occur during WSS installation and basic configuration are simple to solve. However, to “recover” the system password, you must delete the existing WSS configuration.

System logs provide a history of WSS Software events. Traces display real-time messages from all WSS Software areas. Some show commands are particularly useful in troubleshooting. The show tech-supportcommand combines a number of show commands into one, and provides an extensive snapshot of your WSS switch configuration settings for the Nortel Enterprise Technical Support (NETS).
