User Preferences

The User Preferences section of programming allows you to program memory buttons, speed dial codes and other settings for any Norstar telephone on the system.

For example, an employee may want to have the Do Not Disturb feature programmed onto a memory button or create a speed dial code. Instead of programming from the employee’s telephone, you can go into programming on the telephone nearest you to make the change.

Using User Preferences

1.Press ƒ••Ë͉ ( ƒ••°‡‹‡).

2.Enter your System Coordinator or Basic password (the default passwords are ¤‹fl›fland

¤¤‡›¤).

By using a Basic password, it is possible to have someone else do day-to-day upkeep of people’s telephones without giving out access to sensitive programming. See “Using passwords” on page 171.

After you enter the proper password, the display shows you the telephone with the lowest internal number followed by its name (For example, 221:Reception).

1.Press to move through all the telephones on the system.

2.Press when you see the telephone you want to change. The display reads the model number of the
