The fax unit is set to scan documents in and transmit them from memory. This function controls how manual feed transmissions are performed. Available settings are FEEDER (the default setting) and MEMORY.

20ECM FUNCTION
The error correction mode function may help your fax machine improve communication in areas where telephone line conditions are marginal. Refer to the “Problem Solving” section of this handbook for other suggestions if you have communication problems. Available settings are ON (default) and OFF.
21REMOTE DIAGNOSIS
The remote diagnostics feature allows a service person remotely to dial and service your fax machine. Available settings are ON and OFF (default).
23ONE TOUCH PARAM
This function allows you to activate the Echo Protection feature for a specific One Touch key, without changing the normal settings. Echo Protection can improve communication with a location in a noisy telephone area. For instructions on changing One Touch Parameters settings for a One Touch key, refer to the “Programming Your Speed Dial directory, One Touch Faxing” section of this handbook.
