7AUTO START

When this function is turned on, your fax machine automatically dials as soon as you press a One Touch key or enter an Auto Dial code—you do not have to press Start.

8DIAL PREFIX

If your fax machine is connected to a PBX, use this function to specify the access digit used to obtain an outside line from your PBX. You can enter a number with up to four digits. When this parameter is programmed, the fax machine recognizes the access digit when you enter a number and automatically pauses for an outside line

before dialing the rest of the number.

Refer to the “Setting Basic Features, Connecting to a PBX” section of this handbook for instructions on changing this setting.

Changing Your Dial Parameter Settings

1Press the Select Function key.

2Press the 9/User Program One Touch key.

3On the numeric keypad, press 2. The display shows

2:DIAL PARAMETER.

4Press the Yes key until the display shows the dial parameter you want to change.

5Repeatedly press the No key until the setting you want appears in the display.

6Press the Yes key to confirm your selection. The name of the next dial parameter setting appears in the display.

7Press the Select Function key to finish.
