Table 28 NETWORK > Bridge
LABEL | DESCRIPTION |
Bridge IP Address Setup |
IP Address | Type the IP address of your ZyWALL in dotted decimal notation. Use an IP |
| address in the same subnet as the network to which you connect the |
| ZyWALL. Make sure the IP address does not conflict with any other device |
| on the network. |
IP Subnet Mask | The subnet mask specifies the network number portion of an IP address. |
Gateway IP Address | Enter the gateway IP address. |
First/Second/Third DNS | DNS (Domain Name System) is for mapping a domain name to its |
Server | corresponding IP address and vice versa. The DNS server is extremely |
| important because without it, you must know the IP address of a machine |
| before you can access it. The ZyWALL uses a system DNS server (in the |
| order you specify here) to resolve domain names for content filtering, the |
| time server, etc. |
| If you have the IP address(es) of the DNS server(s), enter the DNS server's |
| IP address(es) in the field(s) to the right. |
