OC-3 ATM Interface Cables

The OC-3 ATM circuit connection is made using two fiber SC connectors that support 155.52 Mbps ATM traffic. Optional transceivers support multimode and single-mode.

Fiber-optic cables come in many different configurations depending on the equipment you are connecting and the power levels of the network you are monitoring.

Table A-1 lists some OC-3 ATM cables and their part numbers. The OC-3 ATMProbe connectors are type SC. The 1 at the end of each AMP part number indicates that the length of the cable is one meter and a 2 at the end of the part number indicates a cable length of two meters, and so on.
