Setting the SLIC Control Mode

To set the SLIC control mode:

1.On the Main Menu, select VoicePath Configure.

The Voice Configuration submenu displays.

3.Select your choice.

You must restart the PARTNER ACS 1600 DSL module for any changes to take effect. For more information on restarting the PARTNER ACS 1600 DSL module, see the “Getting started” chapter.

Configuring Echo Cancellation

When you enable echo cancellation, it isolates and filters unwanted digital signals caused by echoes from the main transmitted signal.

Echo cancellation automatically disables when the PARTNER ACS 1600 DSL module detects a FAX or modem signal. At
