4.Repeat steps 1-3 for each port on which you want to disable bridging.

You must restart the PARTNER ACS 1600 DSL module for any changes to take effect. For more information on restarting the PARTNER ACS 1600 DSL module, see the “Getting started” chapter.

Setting the bridge aging timer

The bridge aging timer sets the amount of time that the PARTNER ACS 1600 DSL module keeps a MAC address in the bridging table. When the timer reaches zero, the database deletes the address and creates a new bridge.

To set the bridge aging timer:

1.On the Main Menu, select Configure Bridge. The Bridge Configuration Menu displays.

2.Select Configure Bridge Aging Timer. The following instructions display on-screen:

Enter Bridge Aging time in seconds (1..3600): (300)

3.Type the bridge aging time (range = 1-3600 seconds), or press ENTER to accept the default of 300 seconds.
