Upgrading

ACOS

You can use the Trivial File Transfer Protocol (TFTP) to upgrade the PARTNER ACS 1600 DSL module software. To use TFTP to upgrade, you must properly configure both the PARTNER ACS 1600 DSL module and the computer that contains the TFTP Server program, a program that you must purchase separately.

Before you can run TFTP, you must configure the IP address of the Ethernet or SDSL Interfaces. For more information, see the "Getting Started" chapter.

Configuring the TFTP Server

To configure the TFTP Server:

Copy the PARTNER ACS 1600 DSL module software to a file named ACOS.bin in the path that the TFTP Server will use to send files to the PARTNER ACS 1600 DSL module.

For more information, see your TFTP Server documentation.
