You must restart the PARTNER ACS 1600 DSL module for any changes to take effect. For more information on restarting the PARTNER ACS 1600 DSL module, see the “PARTNER ACS 1600 DSL module basics” chapter.

6.Configure

LAN

Displays the LAN Configuration Menu, which contains the following command:

F. Set/Clear Full Duplex

Enables and disables full duplex Ethernet mode, which allows simultaneous transmission and receipt of Ethernet packets.

Type the number of the port, select enable or disable, and then press ENTER.

Your settings display in the Display Current Configuration command in the Reports Menu. For more information, see "Reports Menu" earlier in this chapter.

7.Configure

SNMP

Displays the SNMP Configuration Menu, which contains the following commands to configure the simple network management protocol (SNMP):

E. Enable/Disable SNMP

Enables and disables SNMP.

P. Configure System Contact

Sets the name of the SNMP contact person (maximum = 39 alphanumeric characters). Type the new system contact information, and then press ENTER.

N. Configure System Name

Sets the name of the SNMP host server (maximum = 39 alphanumeric characters). Type the descriptive information, and then press ENTER.

L. Configure System Location

Sets the location of the SNMP host server (maximum = 39 alphanumeric characters). Type the new location information, and then press ENTER.
