4.Type the gateway address for the default route, press ENTER, and then type Y.

The Router Modification Menu displays.

You must restart the PARTNER ACS 1600 DSL module for any changes to take effect. For more information on restarting the PARTNER ACS 1600 DSL module, see the “Getting started” chapter.

Disabling bridging

To configure the PARTNER ACS 1600 DSL module as a router, you must disable bridging both globally and by port. The order in which you perform the procedures is irrelevant.

When you disable bridging globally, it automatically disables bridging for all ports and disables the spanning tree protocol.

Disabling bridging globally

To disable bridging globally:

1.On the Main Menu, select Configure Bridge.

The Bridge Configuration Menu displays.
