Configuring Payload Scrambling

You must enable payload scrambling (default = disabled) for the PARTNER ACS 1600 DSL module to “talk” to a DSLAM that uses payload scrambling.

To enable payload scrambling:

1.On the Main Menu, select Configure WAN, and then type the slot number of the WAN interface that you want to configure.

The WAN Configuration Menu displays.

2.Select Configure ATM Options.

The ATM Configuration Menu displays.

2.Configure F4 OAM VPI

3.Configure F4 OAM Type

4.Display F4 OAM Configuration

5.Send OAM Loopback

6.Configure EmptyCells

3.Select Configure Payload Scrambling, and then do one of the following:

To enable payload scrambling, type E.

To disable payload scrambling, type D.

You must restart the PARTNER ACS 1600 DSL module for any changes to take effect. For more information on restarting the PARTNER ACS 1600 DSL module, see the “Getting started” chapter.

Configuring the F4 OAM Cell

To configure the F4 OAM Cell

1.On the Main Menu, select Configure WAN, and then type the slot number of the WAN interface that you want to configure.

The WAN Configuration Menu displays.
