10. DHCP server configuration
This chapter walks you through the steps required to
configure the Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP)
server. For more information on the menus, submenus and
commands in this chapter, see the “Menu interface” chapter.
DHCP allows for dynamic allocation of network addresses and
configurations to newly attached hosts. DHCP reduces the
work required to administer a large network.
You must complete the following steps to configure the DHCP
server:
Enable DHCP (factory default = disabled)
Configure the DHCP server parameters
Configure the DHCP address range pool

To enable DHCP:
1. On the Main Menu, select Configure DHCP Server.
The DHCP Server Configuration Menu displays.
