dSelect Advanced, and then click Continue.
eFrom the Configure Printer Connection dialog, select a port .
fIf the port is not in the list, then click Refresh, or navigate to:
Add port > select a port type > enter the necessary information > OK
gClick Continue > Finish.
3Set the COM port parameters.
After installing the printer driver, set the serial parameters in the COM port assigned to the printer driver .
Note: Make sure the serial parameters in the COM port match the serial parameters you set in the printer.
aOpen Device Manager.
1Click , or click Start and then click Run.
2In the Start Search or Run dialog, type devmgmt.ms c.
3Press Enter, or click OK.
bClick + beside “Ports” to expand the list of available ports.
cRightclick the COM port where you attached the serial cable to your computer (example: COM1), and then
click Properties.
dOn the Port Settings tab, set the serial parameters to the same serial parameters set in the printer.
Check the serial heading of the menu settings page for the printer settings.
eClick OK, and then close all the dialogs.

Print a menu settings page to review the current menu settings and to verify if the printer options are installed correctly.
Note: If you have not changed any menu settings, then the menu settings page lists all the factory default settings.
When you select and save other settings from the menus, they repl ace the factory default settings as user default
settings. A user default setting remains in effect until you access the menu again, choose anot her value, and save it.
