Chapter 3. Pre-installation Considerations
This chapter is aimed at providing guidelines regarding hardware, software and capacity consideration requirements when installing NT 4.0.

Refer to Appendix D, ªTips on Windows NT and IBM Hardwareº on page 155 for information about common problems found with IBM network adapters.
Although the minimum memory requirement is 16 MB, this offers only minimal functionality. As a result, Microsoft recommends 32 MB of RAM or more. Microsoft also recommends a 486DX2/50 or better processor. The minimum space requirements for Windows NT Server 4.0 is 124 MB.
