COPY JAMS

If the Check Display indicator is lit and "CLEARCOPY" appears on the display, there is a piece of paper jammed in the printer. Do the following to remove the jam.

1.Carefully Lift the catch to unlock the printer cover. Then, hold the paper guides and open the cover.

2.Remove the paper roll.

3.Pull out the jammed paper from inside the machine and cut off any damaged

parts of the roll.

❐ Do not leave any pieces inside the machine.

4.If the carriage is not in the home posi- tion, replace it to the left side.

5.Install the paper roll. (Hold the roll so that it rolls away from you when pulled upwards.)

6.Pull out the leading edge until you can see it and feed the paper between the roller and the cover until it appears out- side the back of the machine.

NOTE: Make sure the paper edges are aligned with the marks printed by the roller.
