(1) Enter adjustment mode [05]. Increase the value for code [648] to increase the copy density of text. (To improve faint, smudged text or thin lines)

Cautions after the completion of the adjustment
The adjustment may possibly cause degradation in the image quality. For instance, if the density of text is increased, noise may possibly occur around the text on the copy. If the density is decreased, the text may look faint. Therefore, carefully perform the adjustment, while checking the copy image.
