3.34.7.14 SMART CHECK Test
1) Test content
the judgment of the problem existence of HDD is performed using "HDD SMART information."
The check of the number of alternative sectors
The "Raw Value" value of "Reallocated Sector Count" of "SMART ID#5" in the data acquired by "SMART READ ATTRIBUTE DATA" is checked.
If the value becomes 100 or more, it will be considered as an error.
The check of an upper controller log
the latest log reported to the upper controller is checked. and "Error Register" If there is a value, it will judge with an effective log. Next, it tests by reading to LBA by which logging is carried out. "Command=C 8h (Read DMA)" or "25h (Read DMA Ext)" are then used. When a media error is detected by a reading test, it is considered as an error.
■Simple Mode / Detail Mode
The same operation is carried out whichever it chooses.
2) Test screen
a test screen is not displayed.
■In the case of PASS
The PASS Count display on the test screen is zoomed in and (OK) is displayed in the Result field on the WinPE T&D screen.
■In the case of FAIL
The Error Count on the test screen is zoomed in and (NG) is displayed in the Result field on the WinPE T&D screen.
