4.4.2 Configuring Bandwidth Management Rules

Follow the steps below to set up bandwidth management rules for different traffic.

1Click ADVANCED > BW MGMT.

2Select Active to apply bandwidth management to traffic that is forwarded out through the WAN 1 port.

3Enter the WAN 1 port’s upstream speed.

4Select Priority-Basedto have the ZyWALL give preference to bandwidth classes with higher priorities.

5Deselect the Maximize Bandwidth Usage option to reserve bandwidth for traffic that is not defined in a bandwidth class.

6Click Apply.
