30.3.6 Remote Node Filter

Move the cursor to the field Edit Filter Sets in menu 11.3, and then press [SPACE BAR] to set the value to Yes. Press [ENTER] to open Menu 11.3.4 - Remote Node Filter.

Use menu 11.3.4 to specify the filter set(s) to apply to the incoming and outgoing traffic between this remote node and the ZyWALL to prevent certain packets from triggering calls. You can specify up to four filter sets separated by commas, for example, 1, 5, 9, 12, in each filter field. Note that spaces are accepted in this field. Please refer to Chapter 40 on page 617 for more information on defining the filters.

30.4 3G WAN

3G (Third Generation) is a digital, packet-switched wireless technology. Bandwidth usage is optimized as multiple users share the same channel and bandwidth is only allocated to users when they send data. It allows fast transfer of voice and non-voice data and provides broadband Internet access to mobile devices. See Section 8.13 on page 187 for more information.

To set up a 3G connection, you need to configure

From the main menu, enter 2 to open menu 2 on the ZyWALL that supports a 3G card.
