ARP entries

The Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) information includes IP address and MAC address of each entry, address status flags, VLAN, and port for the address, and port referencing information.

The following table describes the Address Resolution Protocol Menu options.

find <IP address>

Displays a single ARP entry by IP address. For example, 192.4.17.101.

 

 

port <port number>

Displays the ARP entries on a single port.

 

 

vlan <1-4095>

Displays the ARP entries on a single VLAN.

 

 

addr

Displays the ARP address list: IP address, IP mask, MAC address, and VLAN

 

flags.

 

 

dump

Displays all ARP entries, including:

 

IP address and MAC address of each entry

 

Address status flag

 

The VLAN and port to which the address belongs

 

The ports which have referenced the address (empty if no port has routed

 

traffic to the IP address shown)

The Flag field provides additional information about an entry. If no flag displays, the entry is normal.
