It is perhaps no coincidence that since videogames have been able to offer a detailed world of humorous action similar to that of the traditional cartoon, with the added killer ingredient of control,animated cartoons themselves have changed in order to survive. Cartoons such as South Park or The Simpsons no longer rely solely on pure kinetic comedy, but excel in the scabrous comedy of situation and character. Hence it is easy to see how the disgraceful videogame adaptation South Park (1998) totally missed the point, offering as
