13.11Specifying the procedure for received documents (“Doc. Manage.” function)

The procedure that is performed for received documents can be specified.

Received documents are classified as “F-Code”, “rception port” or “Public Document”, and a different procedure can be specified for each type of document.

Classifications of received document

F-Code:

Specify the procedure that is performed when

 

 

documents are received for each F code. A

 

 

document with an F code assigned is received

 

 

according to the procedure previously specified

 

 

for the F code.

Port:

Specify the procedure that is performed when

 

 

documents are received at each port.

Public Document: Specify the procedure that is performed when regular documents (other than those mentioned above) are received.

Document management

Print:

Select this setting to immediately print the

 

 

document once it is received.

Forward:

Select this setting forward the received

 

 

document to the specified destination.

Print and Forward: Select this setting to immediately print the document once it is received and forward it to the specified destination.

• Save To Box:

Select this setting to save the received document

 

in a box without printing it.

Precautions

The factory setting is “Print”.

If a remote copy fax is received using a common telephone line, it is printed, regardless of the setting.

The settings are prioritized in the following order: “F-Code”, “Port” or “Public Document”.
