TCP/IP Parameters Dialog Box
NEC 1765 Administration software allows you to configure the printer for TCP/IP networks. The TCP/IP Parameters dialog box allows you to configure your LAN card for a TCP/IP network from the NetWare NOS. See “NEC 1765 Administration Software for TCP/ IP” on page
Select the TCP/IP button or select the TCP/IP menu option from the Configure menu in the Printer Administration window to open the TCP/IP Parameters dialog box. The TCP/IP Parameters dialog box allows you to view and modify the IP address and subnet mask.
Auto IP Address: If Auto IP is on, you can use the UNIX commands arp and ping to change the LAN card's IP address. Arp is a host command which displays or modifies the host's ARP entry table to assign a MAC address to a known IP address. For more information see “Setting the TCP/IP Auto IP Address” on page
note: If your network does not support arp, changing the Auto IP Address setting has no effect.
IP Address: Enter the new IP address in this text box.
Subnet Mask: Enter the new subnet mask in this text box.
