Replacing the Cooling Fans

Note: There is no need to power off the DEU or the computer system. The cooling fans are hot swappable.

1Use the Operator Control Panel to identify the failed fan, refer to the illustration below to identify the components.

Select “Hardware Menu” from the Main Menu and choose “Component Status.” You may need to scroll through the list with the arrows buttons to locate the failed component.

2Loosen the rear door panel access screw, using a flat-blade screwdriver.

3Open the panel to gain access to the fans. The panel is hinged.

4Disconnect the fan’s power cable connector.
