User Guidelines

There are no user guidelines for this command, which is available only on the console line.

Examples

The following example the baud rate is set to 19200.

Console (config)# line console

Console(config-line)# speed 19200

5.12.3 exec-timeout

The exec-timeoutline configuration command sets the interval that the system waits until user input is detected. To restore the default setting, use the no form of this command.

Syntax

exec-timeoutminutes [seconds]

no exec-timeout

ƒminutes — Integer that specifies the number of minutes. (Range: 0 - 65535)

ƒseconds — Additional time intervals in seconds. (Range: 0 - 59)

Default Configuration

The default configuration is 10 minutes.

User Guidelines

To specify no timeout, enter the exec-timeout 0 command.

Examples

The following example configures the interval that the system waits until user input is detected to 20 minutes. Console (config)# line console

Console(config-line)# exec-timeout 20

5.12.4 show line

The show line user EXEC command displays line parameters.

Syntax

show line [console telnet ssh]
