Rising Threshold

A sampled statistic threshold. When the current sampled value is greater than or equal to

 

 

this threshold, and the value at the last sampling interval is less than this threshold, a

Falling Threshold

A sampled statistic threshold. When the current sampled value is less than or equal to this

 

 

threshold, and the value at the last sampling interval is greater than this threshold, a

 

 

single event is generated.

 

 

 

 

Rising Event

The event index used when a rising threshold is crossed.

 

 

 

 

Falling Event

The event index used when a falling threshold is crossed.

 

 

 

 

5.19.8 rmon event

The rmon event global configuration command configures an event. To remove an event, use the no form of this command.

Syntax

rmon event index type [community text] [description text] [owner name] no rmon event index

ƒindex — The event index. (Range: 1 - 65535)

ƒtype — The type of notification that the device generates about this event. Can have the following values: none, log, trap, log-trap. In the case of log, an entry is made in the log table for each event. In the case of trap, an SNMP trap is sent to one or more management stations.

ƒcommunity text — If an SNMP trap is to be sent, it is sent to the SNMP community specified by this octet string. (Range: 0-127 characters)

ƒdescription text — A comment describing this event. (Range: 0-127 characters)

ƒowner name — Enter a name that specifies who configured this event. If unspecified, the name is an empty string. (Range: 0-127 characters)
