2 Making Measurements

Measuring Resistance, Conductance and Testing Continuity

C A U T I O N

Disconnect the circuit power and discharge all high-voltage capacitors before measuring the resistance to prevent any possible damage to the multimeter or the device under test.

Set up the multimeter to measure resistance as shown in Figure 2- 7. Then probe the test points (by shunting the resistor) and read the display.
